My biggest interest in
writing this semester would have to be on health and medicine I would really like
to look into, and learn more about the natural remedies and medicines for
relieving pain and curing sickness. I don’t believe in taking narcotics unless
it’s a dyer emergency, so learning and getting to write and discuss about finding
better ways to help someone get better without prescription drugs sounds like a
great broad topic to write about the semester.
I would also be interested in writing about food. There is alot of information you can find on food in many differant areas such as The fast food industry, and other cultural foods and traditions. The whole food market has a broad selection of information to research, so it would be interesting to get to learn and write about the part of food most people dont think about.
either of these topics would be fine (though I do have quite a few students writing on health). what I'm concerned with, tough, is whether you have all three genres of writing covered (personal, ethnographic, and argumentative). Food may be an easier topic to deal with on all three levels? Let's talk more about what your possible topics are for each of these two themes in order to decide which might work better.
